# Getting a quote for a pen-test

## Getting a quote for a pen-test

1. Once you have gained access to the OnSecurity portal, you can get a quote for a pen-test by clicking on the `estimates` tab located inside the `Quick Actions` box:&#x20;

2\. Click on the `New Estimate` Button:&#x20;

3\. You will now be presented with various testing options to choose from:

4\. Select the type of test you want a quote for and click next.

5\. In the `targets` tab, enter the information needed to produce a quote for a test. If you need any help with understanding the questions, click on the information symbol for more detail on what is required:

6\. Once all the information is entered correctly, click next.

7\. You will now be presented with an `Estimate Summary` quote for the type and scale of the test you entered in the `targets` tab:

8\. If you are satisfied with the quote given, click on the `schedule` tab.

9\. You may be given an error box before you can proceed as some additional information is required, for example, adding the scope for the test, i.e, the IP addresses/IP address range to be tested:

10\. Once the additional information is given, you will be given the green tick to proceed with the booking of the test:
